As part of the ART Program curriculum, trainees are expected to attend the International Meeting for Autism Research (IMFAR), for which travel funding is available.

Each year the ART Program organizes an international guest speaker event for the ART trainees and mentors, held during or just following IMFAR.  These sessions have expanded the training horizons of our group of trainees, and have created an additional international networking opportunity for both trainees and mentors.  Past distinguished guest speakers have included: Dr. Simon Baron-Cohen, Dr. Ami Klin, Dr. Grace Baranek, Dr. Lorna Wing, Dr. Francesca Happé, Dr. Sally Rogers, Dr. Catherine Lord, Dr. Marcel Just, Dr. Fred Volkmar, Dr. Connie Kasari, Dr. Patricia Howlin and Dr. Helen Tager-Flusberg.
